Reflections On Living In A New Place

I’ve been thinking about how much I have grown since moving to Boston. I highly encourage everyone to live outside their hometown for at least a little bit of their life. Living somewhere unfamiliar helps you learn about yourself and the world, and teaches independence.

I am learning how to be okay on my own as well as what makes me happy and what doesn’t. I suppose this is what being an adult is about.

I really do think that if you stay in one place for too long you get complacent, bored, and uninspired. It’s important to mix things up and challenge yourself; you’re never going to achieve greatness staying within your comfort limit! This is not to shame anyone who hasn’t lived outside of their hometown, but I hope it encourages you to travel or go on adventures to new places, meet new people, and try new things.

Be bold my friends. Challenge yourself in a healthy way. You are stronger than you ever imagined.
