I'm ready For Spring

Originally written January 30, 2020

I am ready for Spring! Usually after New Years, I am fully ready for it to be 70 degrees and sunny out. I want to be tan, I want to wear flip flops, and I want to lay outside and feel like I have no responsibilities. I have been mulling over doing a weekend trip to Florida to visit some family.

Thinking about Florida and warm weather has really gotten me in the spring/summer mindset and I wanted to share some fashion and beauty things that are helping me get in the spring mindset.

This is the first year that I have actively missed being tan and felt pale in the winter. I don’t know why but something about being so up north makes me realize how pale I am . This is the only tanning product that I would be willing to try quite frankly because I know what a perfectionist Sivan is and I like that it gives you a gradual glow that is buildable rather than just turning you toasty overnight. I’m excited to order this and use it the week leading up to my Miami trip, that way I don’t feel the need to sit in the sun all day

just to achieve a tan. (I have since bought it, obviously you can see in the picture, and I love it! I talk about it more in a later post).

Bathing suits!!!!!!

My all time favorite place to buy bikinis is Zaful. Ever since I hit puberty (ew) I have struggled with finding flattering bathing suits. I think this is a universal struggle most women face, but I am really happy to say that my sister introduced me to Zaful in 2018 and I don’t think I can buy a bathing suit anywhere else. Granted, I will say this company works really well for me and my body (small build and with a bigger butt/hips) and I’m not sure how well it would work for other body types, but check them out and see what you think. Being unable to buy different sized bikini tops and bottoms is usually a big red flag for me because I usually wear a smaller size in tops, however, I have found that since their bikinis generally run small, a size medium fits me perfectly on the bottom and surprisingly on top too. Also their suits are so stinkin’ inexpensive, I love it!

Sunglasses

Ya gotta love a good pair of sunglasses. I have always had a lowkey obsession with buying sunglasses. Because I go through so many so easily (people step on them, sit on them, my cousin will break them, and statement sunglasses will go out of style quickly) I try to only buy them if they’re under $20, so I usually end up buying them at random little shops (although I also find good ones in the junior section at Nordstrom). I am really excited to get a pair like David from Schitt’s Creek for this summer.

Thanks for reading! I am wishing you all warm and happy thoughts!
